Hands On or Hands Off? If Walls Could Talk – The Workhouse

This Workhouse exhibition is link with the National Trust programme and is an exciting opportunity to see conservation in action focusing on hyow and why The Workhouse conserve their wallpaper.
There are numerous wallpaper samples both in the main Workhouse building and in the newly conserved Firbeck Infirmary. The Workhouse have worked with local artist, Sarah Holden and Brownies and Guides to produce wallpaper samples which will be hung together as part of an exhibition. The children’s work will help to show the extent of the damage caused when people and items touch this wallpaper.
This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.
