Winterfest Craft Fair

Thoresby Courtyard

Held in the unique atmosphere of the Victorian Riding Hall, the event will feature a fantastic variety of locally handmade Christmas gifts from ceramics to prints, jewellery, children’s toys and more. With free entry, free parking and the chance for little ones to meet Father Christmas himself, Winterfest will be a great day out with seasonal refreshments and children’s activities all day.

Christmas Lights Switch-On

Newark

A free celebration to kick off Newark’s fantastic festive season with fun, music, food and fireworks! Enjoy a bustling craft and charity market in the town square and buttermarket alongside a fun fair and live music, all leading to the switch-on of the UK’s largest free standing canopy of Christmas lights and a dazzling firework display. With free parking in all council car parks!

Christmas Tree Festival

Newark Parish Church

See the magnificent setting of St Mary Magdalene Church bedecked with over 100 trees beautifully decorated by local schools, organisations, charities and businesses. There will be refreshments, seasonal music, Christmas cards for sale and a raffle. Admission is £2 for adults and 50p for children. The event will end with a Festival Carols of Praise at 5pm on 10th December.
